ADVANCED DIPLOMA I (JLPT N3)
The Advanced Diploma Programme will further strengthen the structural knowledge of Japanese, develop writing and speaking skills and to lead the students to the use of higher level of Japanese language and comprehension of difficult texts. There will be two papers.
Eligibility: S.S.C. / I.C.S.E. / C.B.S.E. i.e. Certificate of having cleared the 10th Standard Examination recognised by this University + Diploma Programme in Japanese conducted by this or any other University/Institution, which is recognised by this University,
OR
Level 3 of old JLPT / N 4 of new JLPT.
Fees:
Tuition fees: Rs. 4,100/- (Fees subject to change)
Exam fees: Rs. 1,260/- (to be paid in December)

Duration: One Academic Year

Timings: 3 hours per week. In consultation with the teacher.

Exam:
Written Exam:
The exam paper will test for comprehension, writing competency through essay questions, translations, and knowledge of the scripts.
Written Exam: 100 marks
Oral Exam: 50 marks (30 continuous evaluation + 20 oral exam)
Or
Internal Assessment / Continuous Evaluation: 150 marks
Listening skills: 25 marks
Reading comprehension: 25 marks
Writing skills: 25 marks
Language Structures: 25 marks
Total = 100 marks
Speaking skills: 30 + viva 20 (at the end of the course) = 50 marks
Standard of Passing: Minimum of 50% in written exam and 50% in oral exam separately.

Eligibility: SSC OR any other equivalent X Standard Exam (ICSE, CBSE, IB) recognized by the University of Mumbai, and have passed the Advanced Diploma I in Japanese course from Mumbai University or any equivalent course, OR have passed N3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test

Tuition fees: Rs. 3,960/- per annum. Registration: Rs. 40/- (Fees subject to change)
Exam fees: Rs. 1,260/- (to be paid in December)
