PROJECTS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF GERMAN:

1. UGC PPP Project (Hamburg Hafenprojekt)
The project on “Semantics of Maritime Urbanity. Harbour Cities. Hamburg & Mumbai in Comparative Media Studies” was conducted by the Department of German, University of Mumbai and the University of Hamburg.

2. German Institutes Partnership
Course work and development of curriculum under the topic Con-texting Multilingualism within the German Institutes Partnership (GIP) framework with the Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany and the SP University of Pune.
3. Marathi Language Teaching (MLT) Project
This innovative Project aims to teach non-native speakers Marathi using the communicative method and a structured systematic method based on the European Reference Framework (GER). Under the aegis of this project 6 levels (Beginners' to Advanced) of Textbook and Workbooks have been developed. Besides, content for the short-term courses for nurses, rickshaw and taxi drivers, government officials and bank officers has also been generated. A Web-App and an anroid App has also been launched under this project. This project is financially supported by Rajya Marathi Vikas Sanstha and individuals like Aamir Khan.

4. German A1: Learn & Test App
The Department of German is developing an App for learning and testing German for Level A1 (Beginners).
