SHORT-TERM INTENSIVE DIPLOMA IN GERMAN:

 

The Diploma level of German as a Foreign language offered by the University of Mumbai is at par  with the A2 level of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and is internationally recognized.  

Level A2: The learner: 

1. Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate  relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography,  employment). 

2. Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. 

3. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

Eligibility: S.S.C. / I.C.S.E. / C.B.S.E. i.e. Certificate of having cleared the 10th Standard Examination recognised by this University

AND Certificate Programme in German (A1 Level) conducted by this or any other University/Institution, which is recognised by this University, OR A1 internationally recognized certificate

Duration: Approx. 150 hours

 

Timings: 4 times a week, 2.5hrs each day or 5 times a week, 2 hours a day                        

 

Exam:

The Diploma Exam consists of one paper of 100 marks and an oral exam of 100 marks.
 

 

Standard of  Passing: Minimum of 50% in written exam and 50% in oral exam separately.
