B.A. IN CHINESE STUDIES

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR DIRECT ADMISSION TO SECOND YEAR OF B.A. IN CHINESE STUDIES

F.Y.B.A in Chinese Studies OR First Year Bachelor's Degree+HSK3 +HSKK1 / 150 hours of Chinese language training + Entrance test (2 hours-written test)+Personal Interview (Viva).  

Personal Interview for S.Y.B.A. in Chinese Studies 

Registrations: 

Date: Thursday, 16.06.2022 or Monday, 27.06.2022 from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

Venue: Room 117, Department of German, Ranade Bhavan, Univeristy of Mumbai, Kalina Campus.

This integrated programme will enable the students to attain a B.A. (three years), degree in Chinese. Besides giving in-depth knowledge of Chinese language, literature and culture, this progamme also promotes possibility of intercultural studies leading to a better understanding between cultures. There shall be six semesters at the B.A. Level.

Intake Capacity = 30 students

The B.A. programme in Chinese Studies is structured as per semester and credit system.

THE FEE STRUCTURE IS AS FOLLOWS:

 

The following fees for F.Y.B.A. in Chinese Studies shall be applicable for each year.

Open Category (inside Mumbai University):- Rs. 33,550/-

Open Category (within & outside Maharashtra, outside Mumbai University):- Rs. 33,850/- 

Reserved Category (inside Mumbai University):-  Rs. 33,550/-

Reserved Category (outside Mumbai University):- Rs. 33,850/-

Jammu & Kashmir Students:- Rs. 33,850/-

Foreign students:- Rs.1,56,350/- 

 

Eligibility Fees, if required

Within Maharashtra State   : Rs. 500.00

From outside Maharashtra : Rs. 500.00 

For Foreign Nationals         : Rs. 3,000.00

Exam Fees & Other Fees: For FYBA & SYBA : Rs. 2960/-  will be taken at the time of admission.

Duration: Six Semesters.

Timings: Five days a week. Mon-Fri, 9.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. 

Exam: Continuous Evaluation (50 marks) & Semester End Exam (50 marks).

Standard of  Passing: Students should secure minimum 4 grade points i.e. a letter grade D in each course and have 75% attendance. Students need to pass the continuous evaluation and the end semester examination in order to earn the credits.
